Norwex is a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company on a mission to improve the quality of life through the means of reducing the use of chemicals in personal care and cleaning.
In this Norwex Review, I will be examining this company, as well as providing an overview of the products that they offer. However, my emphasis in this Norwex Review will be on the MLM Business opportunity that they offer as a Norwex Consultant.
Is Norwex a scam, pyramid scheme, or do they offer a legitimate MLM Business opportunity? This is my unbiased Norwex Review!

With their origins dating back to 1994, Norwex is a Norwegian based company who quickly expanded into many parts of the world due to their commitment to effective cleaning through environmentally friendly products.

The catalyst behind the success that Norwex has experienced to date is their Antibacterial Microfiber cleaning products, which provide customers with the ability to clean with water, at the same time as reduce bacteria by 99.99% within 24 hours. Additionally, they also offer many high-quality products related to:

…as well as a line of products for children.

MLM Business – how it works…
You will notice that when you visit the Norwex website, and you click on the “Join the team” button, it will direct you to their contact page where you can send an email requesting more information, or you can call a 1-800 number to learn more. This will be the only way to learn more about the details and requirements for joining, and the investment that will be required.
In preparation for this Norwex Review, I have gone ahead and contacted Norwex to learn more about joining. This is what I have found out:
To become a Norwex Consultant, you will need to obtain a Starter Kit. Norwex will ship this kit to you for free, as long as you achieve $2,000 in retail sales within your first 90 days. This is an average of $670 per month for your first three months in the business.
If this requirement is not met, you will be billed $200.00, plus any applicable taxes.
Your Starter Kit will contain basic products from the Norwex product line, as well as training materials, marketing materials, and basic business supplies.
As a Consultant, you will be required to maintain $250 in personal retail sales every 3 months to remain active.
If this requirement is not met for 6 consecutive months, your account will be frozen, and a reactivation fee will apply.
Compensation Plan – How to earn money!
Consultants earn 35% Retail Commissions on their personal retail sales.
Each time that you enroll a new Qualified Recruit, you will earn $300 in free products.
A Qualified Recruit is defined as a new Consultant who achieves $2,000 in retail sales within their first 90 days.
Consultant’s earning potential!
The majority of company sales are achieved through a Home Party environment. According to the company-wide average of $500 in retail sales per party, the following breakdown will detail your earning potential as a Norwex Consultant.
- If you conduct 1 Party per week, you can expect to earn $700 per month.
- If you conduct 2 Parties per week, you can expect to earn $1,400 per month.
- If you conduct 3 Parties per week, you can expect to earn $2,100 per month.
- If you conduct 4 Parties per week, you can expect to earn $2,800 per month.
- If you conduct 5 Parties per week, you can expect to earn $3,500 per month.
Of course, as you begin to sponsor new Consultants into your organization, you will leverage their time and effort as well, adding to your monthly earnings.
Consultant Training & Support
Like we have already covered, sales are typically achieved through Home Parties. As a new Consultant, you will attempt to schedule these parties in the homes of your friends, family members, acquaintances, neighbors, etc.
Through these parties, you will showcase and demonstrate many of the products that you received in your Starter Kit. As your friends and loved ones share laughs and enjoy each other’s company, you will accept orders, and attempt to schedule your next Party with any willing hostesses.
You will then recruit anyone who expresses an interest in the opportunity that you offer as a Consultant on your team.
Host Rewards Program
Norwex offers a Hosting Program, which is designed to encourage higher sales and more bookings. This program will serve as an incentive for your friends and family members to invite you into their home for a party, as they will earn substantial product discounts and free products based upon the sales that you achieve in their home.
You will offer this incentive as you contact your friends and loved ones for scheduling.
These traditional forms of Network Marketing will be the basis of your new Consultant training and support.
Norwex Review Conclusion
In my opinion, Norwex is a legitimate MLM Opportunity that provides Consultants with the ability to generate sales of high-quality and high-demand products as our generation constantly turns to greener and more environmentally safe cleaning solutions.
I was actually introduced to Norwex by my mother-in-law, who purchased three of their products, including their Enviro Cloth, Window Cloth, and Cleaning Paste. She was a complete skeptic at the time, but changed her tune after using their products for the first time. In her own words, she says, “I’ve been married for 35 years, and I have never seen anything work so well!”
To demonstrate the products for me, she cleaned her windows using the Enviro and Window Cloth. Water was her cleaning solution! I have to say that I was very impressed. Not a single streak was left on the glass. You could almost walk right through them, they were so clean! This was proof enough for me that Norwex manufactures a quality product.
Setting expectations…
It is important to consider the challenges associated with building a business around friends and family members in a home party environment. These methods will never be as simple as is advertised.
Depending on your individual goals, building a successful Norwex business is going to require your ability to maintain a full schedule of Home Parties, month in and month out!
This can prove to be extremely difficult when you are limited to your friends, family members, and others who you know personally. Eventually your warm list will dry up, and you will be left to find an alternative way to generate leads and grow your business. This is just something to watch out for!
As long as you begin your business with the correct expectations, I believe that Norwex offers a solid opportunity with fantastic products to build a business around!
